LNB Round 2 (Second Stage): Marineros lose to Metros in the game between Top 4 teams

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in LNB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Very significant was Metros' (#1, 10-6) victory against Marineros 88-80. Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Juan Guerrero (203-1993) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American forward Sydney Curry (203-2000, college: GCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metros are looking forward to face Titanes in San Cristobal in the next round where they are favorite. Marineros will play on the road against Leones in Santo Domingo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 2 Caneros lost to Leones on the opponent's court 81-87. Indios managed to outperform Titanes in a home game 78-71.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Adrio Bailey of Indios.



Leones - Caneros 87-81

Rather expected game in Santo Domingo where Caneros were defeated by Leones 87-81 on Friday. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American swingman Trahson Burrell (201-1992, college: Memphis) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) chipped in 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Leones' coach Eulis Baez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eusebio Suero responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Yeison Colome (190-1996) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Leones and five Caneros players scored in double figures. Leones are looking forward to face Marineros in Puerto Plata in the next round. Caneros will play at home against Indios and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Indios - Titanes 78-71

Rather predictable result in San Francisco where Indios defeated Titanes 78-71 on Friday. Indios made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Indios made 14 blocks. American swingman Adrio Bailey (197-1997, college: Arkansas) had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American point guard Eddy Polanco (193-1994, college: SE Louisiana, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Indios' coach Leandro Hiriart used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Titanes players scored in double figures. Indios are looking forward to face Caneros in La Romana in the next round. Titanes will play on the road against Metros in Santiago and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
